This is probably the only island on the planet that looks like areas of the moon. It is covered with volcanic ash, lava and craters. Great areas are now covered by plantations of vegetables and fruit produced and farmed by the local inhabitants. At Geria, there are now even grapevines threading through the volcanic craters. The continuous sunny climate combined with its beautiful beaches makes Lanzarote one of the Canary's most popular islands.
