Going North from the delta of the great River Ebro towards Barcelona is the Golden Coast of Dorada. The delta is surrounded by fruit trees, almonds, olives and a wealth of wild birdlife including beautiful flamingos. Tarragona is full of beautiful tiles and architectural delights from Roman times. Pine trees flank the golden sands of Salou, a popular family resort and near to Barcelona is the charming town of Sitges. Sitges has many wealthy Spanish residents and property owners for the great 'getaway' from the cities.
