The apartment is situated in the Los Miradores del Puerto urbanisation, just 15 minutes walk to the Tomas Maestre marina. The apartment has air conditioning and underfloor heating and comprises:

The apartment is equipped with iron/ironing board, clothes dryer, hairdryer. Linen is supplied. Beach towels not provided.

La Manga Club is only 20 minutes approx drive from the apartment in a beautiful mountainside location. There are 3 championship courses, and the club has hosted the Spanish open on several occasions. The England Football Team is also known to be fond of its facilities! Visitors can also just sit back and enjoy a drink in the bar or on the terrace with its magnificent views.
A 9 hole golf course and driving range – Veneziola Golf – opened in March 2005 and is just a few minutes drive from Los Miradores.
There are several other courses within easy reach: Mar Menor Golf Club, Villa Martin, Las Ramblas and Campoamor.

General
La Manga is situated in south east Spain in the province of Murcia on the Costa Calida. It is a strip of land 22 kms long nestling between the Mediterranean Sea on one side and the Mar Menor (the Little Sea) on the other. The Mar Menor is a vast non-tidal lake of warm salt water, safe and therapeutic and ideal for water sports which are available in abundance. In addition, the area is well-known for its golf courses, of which there are several between 30 minutes and one hours drive. For those that wish it, there is plenty of nightlife, with many restaurants, bars and nightclubs available. During summer all along the La Manga strip there are funfairs for all ages open in the evenings.
Along the coast of the Costa Calida there are many unspoiled seaside resorts with lovely beaches bordering the Mar Menor. In the main summer months at a lovely beach near the Tomas Maestre Marina near the apartment, there are huge sea inflatables, great for the kids, and you! There is a national park at the salt lakes at the top of the Mar Menor, a beautiful unspoilt place full of bird life. The nearest main town is Cartagena, offering modern shops and a Carrefour hypermarket, but also boasting many historical sights.
There are various boat trips leaving from the Tomas Maestre Marina daily. They will take you around the vast coast of the Mar Menor allowing you to see the various villages en route. There is also a sea bus service across the Mar Menor from the Marina.
Water Sports
There are several water sports teaching centres along the strip, offering courses in sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, diving, water skiing, jet-ski, snorkelling etc. Scuba diving has become more popular in this area and there are schools in La Manga and Cabo de Palos which organise daily trips by boat and offering equipment to rent for newcomers.
Other activities
Boat charter, sea fishing, tennis clubs, squash, roller skating and go karts. Sea bus service across the Mar Menor. Mud bathing in the therapeutic seas.

We recommend a car if you want to get out and about and explore the beautiful Mar Menor coastal villages, but if you just want to chill and recharge the batteries, we can arrange airport transfers.
There are several companies offering car hire from both Alicante and Murcia airports. We have always used
www.All-inclusive-car-hire.com and found them to be efficient and good value.
From Alicante airport take the A7 signposted to Murcia, then take the A37 junction signposted to Cartagena, then the MU312 signposted to La Manga. There are a couple of tolls on this road, only a few euros. The journey takes approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.
From San Javier (Murcia) airport follow the signs to Cartagena, then La Manga. This journey takes approximately 40 minutes.
Transfers
The cost is approximately 60 euros each way from Murcia, 100 euros each way from Alicante.
